According to the American HEART Association participants taking the course should resort to the latest book to study. The current book has a CD rom that has the pre test in it. The course participants are required to bring the pretest answers sheet with them on the first day of class. The book & CD rom are mandatory. The welcome letter will be sent when course registration form and payment is received.
The Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course is a program designed to provide ACLS certification to candidates successfully completing the eight hour course. The course provides teaching and testing of core material and skills as mandated by the American Heart Association. The course is open to all medical, nursing, paramedical and allied health personnel (including students) whose daily occupation demands proficiency and the knowledge and skills of ACLS. Candidates must have a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Professional card. The course has been approved for seven continuing education credits.

the latest book to study from the changes in the new guidelines. Therefore, BOOKS ARE MANDATORY, the students
will be given the following options in obtaining the book.
This is a sixteen hour program presented in two eight hour days. The course is a national program designed by the Emergency Nurses Association and teaches the basic understanding of trauma nursing. The newest edition book is included in the price. This course is designed to be interactive with the participants. There are three psychomotor skill stations that you participate in. The course offers 16 CEU when completed. In order to enroll in the course the ENA request that the participants have the book a minimum of 30 days prior to the course.

The basic 12 Lead EKG Interpretation course is offered as an 8 hour introduction to reading 12 lead EKG's. Objectives to be covered include: Basic Laws of electrophysiology, lead placement bipolar, unipolar and frontal lead placement, morphology of EKG patterns, detection of myocardial infarctions, correlation of coronary artery's and anticipated rhythm disturbances as well as identification of bundle branch block, hemiblocks, and significance of axis deviations, preexcitment syndromes and electrolyte disturbances will be discussed. Case scenarios will be utilized and a workbook will be provided to all participants.
Necessary equipment to be brought to the course are: calipers, a ruler and colored pencil.
The course has been approved for 7 continuing education credits.

Registration Fee: $80.00 payment must accompany registration form to assure space in the course.The basic Rhythm review course is offered as an 6 hour re-introduction to reading cardiac rhythms. This course if for the RN who has had a course in rhythm identification and require a review. Objectives to be covered include: Review anatomic position for the placement of limb leads, review morphology of depolarization and depolarization cycle, identify all QRS complex components, heart rate calculation, and rhythm identification.

This course will focus on teaching standardization of pediatric trauma nursing knowledge that will enable you to apply a systematic approach to achieve optimal care of a pediatric trauma patient whether you are in a lone environment or work with a team approach. The cost of the course includes the book and the Emergency Nurses Association standard fees. Lunch will be on your own.
