Initial Certification Schedule

The Advanced Cardiac Life Support course is a program designed to provide ACLS certification to candidates successfully completing the fourteen hour course. The course provides teaching and testing of core material and skills as mandated by the American heart Association. The course is open to all medical, nursing paramedical and allied health personnel (including students) whose daily occupations demands proficiency and the knowledge and skills of ACLS. Candidates must have a current American Heart Association Basic Life support health care provider card to participate. This course has been approved for fourteen continuing education credits.

Certification dates for the year 2013:
January 26 & 27 February 23 & 24
March 9 & 10 April 20 & 21
May 18 & 19 June 8 & 9
July 21 & 22 August 17 & 18
September21 & 22 October 5 & 6
November 23 & 24 December 14 & 15

Time: 0900 to 1500

Location: 900 E. Karen Ave. Building H, Suite 212 (Commercial Center) 2nd floor. Las Vegas, NV

Registration Fee: $200.00 + book fee (see below.) Payment must accompany registration form to assure space.

According to the American HEART Association participants taking the course should resort to the latest book to study. The current book has a CD rom that has the pre test in it. The course participants are required to bring the pretest answers sheet with them on the first day of class. The book & CD rom are mandatory. The welcome letter will be sent when course registration form and payment is received.

ACLS Recertification

The Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course is a program designed to provide ACLS certification to candidates successfully completing the eight hour course. The course provides teaching and testing of core material and skills as mandated by the American Heart Association. The course is open to all medical, nursing, paramedical and allied health personnel (including students) whose daily occupation demands proficiency and the knowledge and skills of ACLS. Candidates must have a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Professional card. The course has been approved for seven continuing education credits.

Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course

This is a sixteen hour program presented in two eight hour days. The course is a national program designed by the Emergency Nurses Association and teaches the basic understanding of Emergency pediatric trauma nursing. The newest edition book is included in the price. This course is designed to be interactive with the participants. The course offers 15.6 CEU when completed. In order to enroll in the course the ENA request that the participants have the book a minimum of 30 days prior to the course.

Course Highlights include:

Initial Assessment		  	 Performing a systematic triage assessment	
Pediatric trauma			 Identifying the subtle changes that indicate a worsening condition		
The Neonate				 Helpful hints for pediatric care
Psychiatric emergencies			 Cultural considerations in pediatric care
Children with special health care needs	 Pain management in children
Respiratory distress and failure

This course will focus on teaching standardization of pediatric trauma nursing knowledge that will enable you to apply a systematic approach to achieve optimal care of a pediatric trauma patient whether you are in a lone environment or work with a team approach. The cost of the course includes the book and the Emergency Nurses Association standard fees. Lunch will be on your own.

Books will be mailed out 30 days in advance of the course. Prior to the course date the participant will receive the welcome letter as confirmation of the course date and time. Directions will be included in the welcome letter along with the actual schedule outline.

Registration Fee: $300.00 payment must accompany registration form to assure space in the course.
The current edition of the ENPC book is included in the cost of the course.
